Lots of people wonder about why the Bible has particular books in it and not others. You’re not alone! Maybe you have some of these questions?
- How early or late was the list of books in the Bible decided?
- Who decided on the list? Was some church council involved?
- What historical sources do we have to tell us how this was all decided?
- Can we trust that the list we have today is the correct list?
You’ll find answers to all of those questions and more in this book. In it, I argue from the historical sources that the list of books was agreed upon very early in church history (much earlier than your average college professor probably thinks!). I also show that we don’t have to be scared of talking about other books. It’s easy to see why they were left out. We can trust that we have the right list because it was God who ultimately chose which books got included.
